How To Start

Records
Records can be provided to MedKM in a digital or paper format. If you have hard copies and want to send the records to us, please look here for our address. We encourage you to send them already scanned into a digital format such as TIFF or PDF. We are happy to help you with this step if you’re unsure of this process. Your digital records can be transferred to us through our secure SSL FTP site or simply put on CD and mailed to us.

Services
MedKM Document Organization System
Upon receiving records, we will proceed to unitize and organize the
documents using a 12 Tab System (or 6 tabs for clinics) per provider
or healthcare facility. The final product is delivered in a
PDF version with bookmarks
to make your access and review time much
easier. This can be a stand alone service if you prefer to review
the records yourself. This step is critical to our success
downstream in the review phases.
This service can be charged by the hour or on a per page basis.
Chronology
Our chronology is the global timeline for the case. It is prepared by identifying the providers, the dates
and description of services for each key event relative to your
specific case. The chronology events are hyperlinked to the original chart records from which they are extracted.
This service is charged by the hour.
Analysis
After the chronology is completed an analysis is generated. This concise narrative summarizes our findings, research, recommendations, and conclusion. Close attention is paid to identifying any missing records or providers to ensure a proper analysis is made.
The following services are charged by the hour.
| Basic: | Straight forward work typically involving few providers or consistent records. Many class actions fall into this category. |
| Standard: | Typical summarization work including most personal injury and product liability cases. |
| Complex: | More difficult work types including most medical malpractice cases |
| Updated Records: | Updated chronology and analysis based on additional records or providers added to a previously reviewed case. |
Custom Projects
We welcome the chance to create custom solutions to save our
customers time and money. These projects are non-standard work not
defined above or may require new processes to be developed. This
work may include med specials audits, settlement resolutions, and
unusual cases.
Custom work is usually charged by the hour
but, depending on the situation, unit based pricing is an option.
Deposition Abstracts
Using a skilled paralegal team, key points and dates
from your lengthy depositions are extracted to provide
a condensed version that saves you time and money. Hyperlinking each key description to its page of origin in the transcript makes navigation simple and effortless.
